Mindless Self Indulgence have streamed their new album If in it’s entirety on their Myspace page. 24 hours and almost 700,000 plays later, Mindless Self Indulgence is the number one band on MySpace in all genres globally, though the band have never been off the top 10 list for almost 4 years now.
If is released April 29th, and any caveman wanting one of those ye olde shiny discs (CDs?) will have to sacrifice all their street-cred by going to Hot Topic to buy one. Thanks MSI.
AC/DC posted on their website (which is apparently no longer a pr0n site, “though still is dirty”):
The waiting is almost over! AC/DC fans can expect the band’s next album of new material sometime later this year. The band are currently recording in Vancouver with producer Brendan O’Brien and long time audio engineer Mike Fraser. This will be the band’s first collection of new material since the release of Stiff Upper Lip in 2000.
Axl Rose and the dudes he got to replace Slash and Buckethead have apparently finished Chinese Democracy, an album that has been in the works for about 14 years. To put that into context, most of the people reading this are around 14 years old. Needless to say we’re expecting something mind-blowing here, especially when one considers that Geffen are reportedly paying $13 million for the album. That’s almost a million a year!
Don’t get too excited though, the album’s completion has been reported several times, without it’s actual apparition. In fact I might just go and draft “No Chinese Democracy afterall”…
Bleeding Through are hitting a recording studio in Vancouver next month! After hitting it they will probably go inside and record their new album “Declaration”, due to be realeased in August this year.
It seems that Bleeding Through are continuing the trend started with The Truth of having just about the coolest producer anywhere (The Truth was produced by Rob Caggiano, Anthrax’s lead guitarist): Declaration will be produced by Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad.
Lars Ulrich has announced that Metallica’s as-yet untitled album will be released in September.
